We want to add a plug to the outside. This is standard now but we don't have it on our 2014. We have someone that can do the electrical, but I'm worried about cutting into the side of the T@B. Has anybody else done this? Looking for advice and suggestions.

Drill one hole from the inside next to the 2x4, go outside and then use that one hole as your furthest most right side that you can go. Mark your templace on the outside of your T@B. Drill other holes in each of the corners of the template and use a jigsaw to cut your hole. Trim the hole to fit the outlet box.
Use household Romex wiring, splicing it from the GFI outlet under the driver's desk bench seat.
The T@B wall in the 2014 is 1/8" fiberglass infused material on the outside, glued to 1/8" plywood, glued to 1 1/8" styrofoam insulation, glued to 1/8" plywood, and finally glued to the interior 1/8" composite material that is the inside wall. It's very easy to cut, so take your jigsaw cutting slow and deliberate.
Be sure to use silicone caulk all around the hole on the outside and extra at each screw for waterproofing.
