@ericnliz... well I tried my very best with the park ranger and his superiors to allow us to park two RV's in one camp site, but they just can't accomodate us. Hopefully a site will open up for you.

@Aussie, thanks. We were able to get in #72 from #1 so we are set! OOPS, DISREGARD.... WE AREN'T SIGNED UP FOR THIS EVENT (MY COMMENT WAS FOR THE LINCOLN ROCK EVENT)
Hello Fellow T@bbers, T@ggers, T@d@ers, Teardroppers, and
Gosh, wasn't the 2017 Jam just wonderful? We pretty much had a unanimous decision that we want to get together again at Fort Worden WA State Park in the fall of 2018. This date range is traditionally just glorious for camping weather....fingers crossed. Everyone who is interested in rallying with us: 1. Please start watching the Fort Worden CAMPING RESERVATION WEBSITE (https://washington.goingtocamp.com/Home.aspx) or call 1-888-226-7688 to snag a campsite for September 14, 15, and 16, 2018 (Fri, Sat, Sun). The website says dates open 9 months in advance. Sounds like we'd better start checking for availability right after Thanksgiving 2017 to book Sept. 2018! Some may want to arrive earlier and/or stay later that weekend, but these will be our core days. ****RESERVATION CALENDAR OPEN TODAY FOR 9/12/18!****** FRANK AND I ARE NOW BOOKED TO ARRIVE WEDNESDAY-SUNDAY IN SITE 65. SEE ROSTER.
2. Please reserve spots in the Upper Forest Campground first (sites 51-80).We learned it was really neat to be huddled together as much as possible as a community. If we can do this, we can also avoid the cost of the beach shelter and instead just set up camp chairs near our sites for the storytelling, mod discussions, music/singing, and eating. It was so great to rove adjacent sites and visit with each other. Let's do that again.
If we completely fill the Upper Forest on the park reservation map, let's then establish a second huddle down at the Lower Beach Campground (suggest sites 1-20 area). I know the "beach" site sounds better but those beach sites are spread out so much, and for fall, the Upper Forest campground felt much less windy and cozy for a group. If we need to expand down the hill, we can make a second huddle down there as plan B. Again, it's best to huddle with others to enjoy the neighborly activities.
3. Please sign the Roster List. Here's the link to the Roster List sheet! Please click on the link below, and then click in each box on the sheet to type your information and hit Tab button to move out of the box after you enter your info......this list is just so we know you are planning to join in and keep up with our huddling efforts onsite. If you sign our roster here now, please don't forget to come back and add your campsite number when the state site lets you reserve it. This google doc is just to track participation. It does not reserve your campsite! Use the link above in #1 to do that! ;-) ROSTER LIST https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1R_NExps8RfzgZEv3XjO9NS2P1n-4yI1vaqEEKHrlwYg/edit?usp=sharing
Thanks to 2Cougs and others who have volunteered to help lead the festivities. I am also sharing this as an event on Lady Teardroppers, WA State T@bbers, T@b Camping Trailers, Teardrop Camper Adventures, and here in the forum. And remember yall, "Great Minds Camp Alike" in our wonderful little trailers.
Hope to see yall there, Melanie, Frank, and the Corgi Dogs
GREETINGS PNW J@mmers......well, it is finally September 2018! The Pacific NW J@mboree is upon us! Frank and I are so excited to see 25 families listed on the list here:
If you are staying elsewhere, please still add your contact names, etc. to the list NOW so we know who will be participating. We will post the agenda here in a couple of days. We are looking at having much more free time this year and are only scheduling windows for Mods and Pot Luck (with our local Dealer Q&A) and Music.
Gentle Reminder and fine print: Ranger asks that we all please register as campers or day users as the case may be at Ft. Worden HQ and follow all park rules. We agree this is not a commercial event in any way, only an informal gathering of campers who happen to be teardrop enthusiasts and not used to promote sales in any way.
We so look forward to seeing everyone! Melanie, Frank, and the 3 Corgi dogs
Also, if you are coming, we need a few of those open sided popup shade tents folks could stand or sit under (with safety tiedowns) in case it rains as we are going to have our potluck in the upper forest camping area Saturday evening. Bob/Pam will scout a spot to set those up amongst some of our sites in the upper forest campground.
Activities:
1. Friday, Sept 14, 5 to 7 pm:Roster Check-in at Site 65 in the Upper Forest Campground of Fort Worden. (Register with Park and get your site set up first! Then stop by to let us know you made it and pick up a "Mod Open for Mod Talk" Sign if you want to show off your mods Saturday. Also, let us know then if you brought a popup tent or folding tables noted in #3 below for potluck service. Leaders: Melanie/Frank
2. Saturday, Sept 15, 10a-12 noon: Organized time for Mod and Gear Talk Walkabouts. Look for sites displaying the "Open for Mod Talk" signs; ask before you touch. Gear swaps, too. Leaders: Dale/Sandi.

Please bring your favorite camp food and utensils (salads, meats, vegetables, condiments, breads, desserts, beverages, ice, cups, eating plates/bowls, fork/knives/spoons/spatulas) with enough stuff to share (just fyi, may have 50+ people). PLEASE BRING A POPUP TENT WITH TIEDOWNS AND FOLDING TABLE IF YOU HAVE ROOM IN CASE WE NEED SHELTER FOR GATHERING. We will gather in an spot amongst the upper forest camping sites this year as planned (no beach shelter); there will be no grills, ovens, or sinks other than your camper and your site.
4. Saturday, Sept 15, 7-9p: Campfires (if park allowed), adhoc live music, stories, games. Look for smiles at sites or gathering after potluck, drag up a chair. BRING BAGPIPES, GUITARS, CARDS, ETC. May get chilly.
This is an informal gathering of teardrop camping enthusiasts. Please follow all park rules and attend at your own risk. Call 911 for any life-threatening emergencies.
If you cannot use your reservation for 2018 PNW J@mboree Event, and if possible, please do as some kind folks already have and post a heads up on several of our online group sites where the event is listed (here, Facebook) to give those waiting in line a chance to coordinate your cancellation with their reservation on the WA parks website....a well-coordinated mouse poised for ready, set, go means another T@bber, T@gger etc., might get to come! Thanks!
We are not going to make Ft. Worden after all, and will be cancelling our reservation for Friday, 9/14-Tues. 9/18 (out Tuesday). Who needs it?! We have site 64 in the forest loop. You are welcome to call us at 425-827-9930 (identify yourself or we don't pick up!). Hope someone can use it. Janet
Ok, folks. Printed the roster and made the Agenda handouts and the Let's Talk Mods signs. Time to load. Some are arriving yesterday, today, some tomorrow. Here's to a great 2018 J@mboree in the beautiful (and somewhat rainy) Northwest.
Pacific NW J@m 2018 is complete, sports fans. Frank and I just wanted to say a big thank you for all who were able to join in our little get together at Fort Worden, WA. What a great time we had! So many caring people with beautiful mini-homes, huge hearts, great stories, and clever ideas. We all agreed the relaxed agenda with only walkabouts for talking mods, a potluck, and campfire circles met expectations and will be continued next year. This gave folks time to chew the fat, take excursions into town, etc. The only difference might be to add more days to the visit to be sure to enjoy the area....maybe a Wednesday to Wednesday for those who want to stay longer but the focused gathering events still would be on Saturday for those who can only come for a weekend. I will soon update the roster list with the contact info. so the 2018 group can keep in touch with new and old friends till we meet again next year. Those who didn't make it, we missed you!
So many extra thanks to those who shared their expertise, helped with coordinating events, and lent many helping hands. We said many times how neat the bond is among teardrop enthusiasts. Be sure to share and enjoy photos of new and old friends in the 2018 J@m Folder set up so graciously by 2Cougs here in the Events area. (Be sure to see pics of the amazing 2018 J@m memento 2Cougs made for us! And please observe the forum rules for reducing picture sizes to keep the forum site healthy.)
We have discussed having a informal get together at Cape Disappointment, WA in July 2019 and ofcourse, the Pacific NW F@ll J@m 2019 at Ft. Worden, WA. We will try to post a pre-event notice here on the forum when the registration periods open for those months at those two state parks. Meanwhile, please support and enjoy the other events around the state and country with this wonderful group of T@bbers. Be safe and stay in touch!
And......thanks for the memories as we again confirmed........"Gre@t minds c@mp @like!"
What a wonderful weekend. Thank you @Mariner459 for organizing and to all the volunteers. Looking forward to crossing paths again soon...and to next year!
