Emergency Brake Cable

My dealer suggested that I loop the emergency brake cable between the clip that holds the hitch pin in place and the hitch body. Friction there cut my cable in two. When I replaced the cable, the tech suggested that I hook a locking D ring into the hitch, hook the emergency cable loop into the D ring, and lock the D ring. Looks like it should work.

I had the same thing happen. I am going to try the D ring; thanks for the suggestion.
