Any Geocachers?

I am taking our T@B to Key West FL (via New Orleans LA) in a couple of week, arriving in the Keys on March 1, 2015.  I will be doing some geocaching along the way.  I hope to add a "find" in many of the US states from MO eastward (NY, PA, OH, IN, IL, MO, KY, TN MS, AR, LA, AL, GA, FL, SC, NC, WV, VA).  The round trip will be close to 9,000 km (5,600 mi). If you are not already a geocacher, you might find it an interesting hobby while travelling as the search for a cache can take you to some interesting locations.  

While in Key West, I will be holding a Geocaching Event, on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 from 11:45 to 12:30 at the Hogs's Breath Saloon 400 Front St Key West FL 33040 (Food and beverages are available for purchase at the saloon) where other geocachers get together for a social gathering etc.  Any other T@B_ers are welcome to come.  We hope to see some of you there!

Sounds like great fun. If you ever get out west, there are lots of themed caches in the desert and ghost towns

We discovered Geocaching last summer on our cross-country NC to CA to MA to FL to NC trip. Our first find was in the Redwoods near Burlington Campground in July. We've made finds in 28 states and really loved the experience. It's taken us to so many unexpected places.  Sorry we won't be in the Keys next month to come to your event but perhaps we can connect as you pass through NC.

No geocaching, we letterbox instead.  Sort of the same concept, but also very different.

Yes, we are.  We haven't in quite sometime due to the weather.  
I took a geo travel coin from here in KY to Key West.  It has traveled over 5,000 mi at last check.  I brought one from Key West to KY.   We enjoy the challenge.
Mercator, use caution in Key West if you are searching in the fort there.  The homeless tend to sleep right at the base of the tree and after 3 trips we had to give it up.  It was not a safe place.

Hi BWidget,
I am in Orange county but we have property in 29 palms and have a couple of caches out in the area around Joshua Tree.
Are you a member of a club or just out on your own? I would love to join you on the hunt. Please keep me in mind when you are out in march and april.
