Anyone ever drive the Natchez Trail end to end? Thinking of coming back from Niagara Falls that way

On a motorcycle if that counts.  Unreal beauty and very smooth surface.  Plenty of historic stops along the route.

Drove it North to south pulling our teardrop trailer (pre-T@B).  Lovely drive, well maintained road, lots to see at stops and at towns along the way.

We are thinking of doing this for a couple of weeks in November. Finding information about stops or a printed map is tough. Let us know if you learn of anything fun. My husband is an amateur archeologist so the Native American mounds really appeal to him.

Just rode the entire length on our motorcycle this past June. It was beautiful and empty of traffic. No businesses or commercial vehicles are allowed on the Trace. You'll have to exit the Trace for food and fuel, but that's not a problem. An interesting fact, and you won't know it as you're driving, but it's only about 800' wide. Literally, can't see the forest for the trees.

Well, we will soon see. Leave tomorrow for our 33 day trip under the Great Lakes to Niagara Falls and back.

Natchez Trace is a wonderful Drive, but when the leaves start to turn put on your patience hat. Because traffic is dense and moves at a snails pace. Even during "off season" the speed limit is 45 or less, so don't expect to pick up any speed after you get bored with looking at acres and acres of trees. Don't get me wrong its beautiful, but after a while it starts to wear on you.
