Maiden Voyage of the Outback

So it's bison calving season in the Back Hills and we spent the weekend in Custer State Park and Wind Cave N.P. watching the babies.

The Outback was a real pleasure to have. Towed perfectly behind our 2011 Toyota 4Runner and got 15 mpg. Everything in the Outback worked perfectly ( no water service yet ) and we got two good nights sleeps.

Fresh Mint Juleps for the Derby to boot.

Can't imagine wanting anything more in a travel trailer.

Did you use a mount for your action packer? I was going to put mine in that same spot.

We were on a jeep trail in Wind Cave and had to drive very slowly through the herd.

Dang, I knew I should have taken that route north. Been stuck in rain and wind. No cutting back now. Next year.

I wanted to buy an Action Packer, but after looking at one at REI they seemed a bit thin and flimsy.

Action Packer? Didn't know what that was until I looked it up. We've had that camp storage box for years but didn't have a name for it. It's just setting on the front bench in the photo.

But now that you mention it. Mounting to the bench is a good idea.
