Off Road pkg ?

Hello again---I have found a 2018 320S with the "offroad package & pitched axle" on a dealer's lot that I may be interested in making an offer. I have not seen it in person yet, but from viewing the pics online I do not see a "boondock" decal on the outside of the unit. I will be calling the dealer for more info before I travel 2+ hours to see it as that would be an all day Saturday adventure.

My question is, 1. does anyone know if the offroad packages have the "boondock" decal on the outside of the unit? and 2. How much difference in clearance is the offroad package compared to the 320S?

I'm not aware of an "offroad package" other than what is offered on the Boondock editions.

Some people have ordered regular T@Bs with the Boondock axle swapped in as an option. I wonder if that's what's going on here. Maybe somebody special ordered it then finked on the delivery.

Yes, I will be asking some very specific questions because I was under the impression that all boondock packages had the decal on the outside.

This unit DOES show it having the knobby tires & the spare mounted on the side of the tongue and the spare is the knobby tires also.

Hi,

In answer to your #2 question, I own a 2018 320S Boondock (mine has the Australia/Kangaroo decal, with the spare on the roof cargo rack), and the extra clearance is ~5.5 inches more than the regular 320S.

I agree with earlier posts; sounds like a standard T@B with pitched axle and off-road tires added. Which happens to be how I ordered mine

I don't believe the off-road tires can be installed without also getting the pitched axle as the off-roads have 15-inch rims.

I spoke to the dealer-- he said he orders the 320S model s from nucamp with the off road axle & off road tires-- he finds that his customers really like having this option already on the unit s & they are a little less expensive than the boondock model-- just what you guys were saying

Decals could be removed too, you can order Tabs without any decals on request.

I remember reading that the dealer in Santa Fe, NM orders all Tabs with the Outback/Boondock axle/wheel setup.

@N7SHG_Ham—it is Boardman’s in Pueblo— he was very nice & freely gave information without making me feel like I was wasting his time— unlike others I have called— he also sounded like he actually was knowledgeable about the tabs— also unlike others who I have talked to— I usually know more than they do— which doesn’t give you much confidence in a dealer

I also believe there is another dealer in Colorado Springs which is @ 30 to 50 miles North of Pueblo
