    Rather than post on the thread, I thought it proper to send you a message instead. To my knowledge and understanding 50 Amp is not 240 volts in an RV, the 2 hots are not combined for 240 but rather are used for providing 2 separate sources of 120 VAC.

      Hi Brad,

      It's two sides of the same coin. The outlet (I'm sitting next to one now) is 240/120V 50A. You can draw off either hot leg for 120V, or both legs for 240V.

      Whether anything in the camper uses 240V is another question, but electrically it is available regardless of whether we are talking a house or an RV.
