Could some one with the Hepvo valve installed in the 400 sink, please post a pic of the instillation. Heard that it is now installed on the new 400's and would consider it on our 2018. Thanks!
How deep is the sink in a non-Hepvo TAB 400? With the factory installed hepvo the sink is 5 3/4" deep. There is a clear space of 11 1/2" under the Hepvo valve to the first shelf.
I believe I did the first conversion on a 400 before the factory decided to implement the change. It’s a fairly easy job on the 400. Much easier than our 320. Make sure you order the size that matches your drain pipe. It will likely be 1 1/4” if I remember right. It will require an adapter from the 2” abs to the compression sink drain pipe.
This doesn’t come without its own issues. At the start of our second season, my wife tried to use the sink and found it clogged. There wasn’t enough water pressure to get water down the drain. Thinking it was an actual clog, I took the plumbing apart and discover this long rubber type flap in the pipe. I tugged on it to remove it and ripped part of it. After closer inspection, I noticed some grease was keeping the rubber ‘glued’ closed. After blowing air through it, it opened back up and allowed water to then pass. It still works, but I do need to eventually replace it. So be careful about any clogs. A simple plunger should fix any issues.
