I decided I needed an additional cabinet pull for my TAB 400--one just like the existing pulls on the drawers and cabinet door. I called my dealer for a price and was stunned to learn that the 17.25" extruded aluminum drawer pull was quoted by nuCamp at @52.50 plus shipping! That is simply outrageous.
An internet search showed that drawer pulls that look almost identical in appearance and dimensions are manufactured (or maybe just sold) by Haefele America Co. in NC. The drawer pull I found is Haefele product number 792.01.060. Hafele doesn't sell retail but they gave me an online distributor's website--kitchensource.com. Their price was $35.52 plus $4.99 shipping for a 96" stick. 42 cents per inch is way better than over $3.00 per inch. AlthoughI wonder how a 96" stick of aluminum channel will make it through the shipping process.
Guess I'm going to have enough drawer pulls with which to make a lot of drawers.

Well, the 96" of extruded aluminum stock arrived in good shape and it is "almost" an identical profile--a slight difference.
But the big news is that my dealer called and updated the cost he first quoted me from nuCamp. Instead of $3.00 per INCH nuCamp said the quote should have been $3.00 per FOOT. That is $.25 per inch rather than the $.42 I pai--and I wouldn't have 61" of extruded aluminum stock left over.
I guess nuCamp does indeed monitor this forum!
I am very happy that the price is definitely more reasonable!
This does go to show that nüCamp has no intention of letting we owners down due to a change in their parts ordering procedure. They are definitely committed to keeping we owners happy.

the only thing that this proves, is that yes, nucamp might want to make sure that the csutomer is happy, but since no price list exist from Nu camp or who the parts mfg co pany are, no way to know if those price from dealers make sense or not.
