Gas Assist Struts on Front Cargo Box

Somewhere I have seen a picture of an TAB 400 aluminum front cargo box with a gas assist strut mounted in the center of the lid. I don't think it was a retrofit. I might have seen it in a YouTube video of someone's new 400. Does anyone know if this is new with the 2020 TAB 400's? Seems like a good idea but there are several thousand types of struts on the market and it doesn't need to be a strong lift strength for that light box lid.

OK, I found the video showing that gas strut! It was 2020 T@B 400 BoonDock Lite - w/"The Air Force Guy"

Is the lid on a 400 really that heavy to need a lift? Ugh.

No, @GatorEgg, it’s really not heavy. It just won’t stay up. I keep a yellow plastic tent peg in the tub and I wedge it into one rear corner of the tub to hold the lid up. It works.Verna, Columbus, IN
