Using compressed air for Winterizing is GREAT!

Have a T@B 400 and done winterizing using the anti-freeze method. This year I tried the compressed air method. Dropped my pressure to 40psi and it was so easy and effective that I can't believe it. I was thinking that 40 psi would probably work but not very well. What I found is the pressure "blows" up the water tank a bit and you get a great burst of pressure when you open the facets. I will simply not go back to the anti-freeze way again. I live in a climate that doesn't drop below 25 degrees so I know it will work. Antifreeze might help the pipes in weather below zero if you live in that kind of climate.

    Be sure to use RV antifreeze in the “P” traps.

    My trailer is out west right now and I used a 12 V DC portable air compressor to winterize my 400.  But I agree, it’s an easy way to winterize the trailer.  I’ve also used a larger compressor and have used a bicycle pump too.  I follow it up with pink RV antifreeze dumped down there sink, shower drain and toilet. I empty 2 gallons of the pink into gray and black tanks.
