Jensen speakers making a high pitched whine

I was listening to a cd in my 2018 T@B 400 today, and partway through, the speakers started to make a high pitched whine, kind of like the sound of a distant power tool. This never happened before. I turned the system off and on again, and tried radio, but it was still whining. I can hear the music along with the high pitched noise. Has anyone had this problem? Any suggestions?

Please forgive. More seriously, is there a reset on that unit?
Whine while still hearing music suggests a component failure. Capacitors will provide odd noises when they fail. They often fail progressively. If the reset does not accomplish anything, check all of the ground wires and connections for anything obvious. Failing that, audio issues usually require test equipment to analyze and repair.

Is there a reset--I don't know! Can anyone help me out with this?

If you have the Jensen unit, there is a small hole below the large volume knob. Use a paperclip to push in the reset button that is recessed in that hole.

@AirBoss, thanks. I'll check for this reset and give it a try. The whole Jensen system has been less than user friendly!

Could there be a source of electrical noise nearby that could be causing it? Perhaps a 110v fan or some other electrical motor? Hair dryer nearby? set up near overhead electrical wires?

@NorthIsUp this is possible, since we're in our driveway in a city neighborhood. It never happened before, but that doesn't mean that there wasn't interference from some source today. Something to check.
