what to do with the speed control switch when you replace with a variable controller

I replaced the three speed switch in my fantastic fan with a pot actuated controller (many have done so). My bathroom fan broke and Nucamp sent me a new one although out of warranty. Since I had the switch I added it the the bathroom fan. Now I have three speeds. Since its only on for short periods there is very little battery power loss to use it.

I think my hand lettering adds a personal touch lol.

Yes, yes it does.A grand idea, think I will do the same with the 3-way switch left from the main fan upgrade project. Thanks for the idea.

It has to be in the corner away from the edge otherwise it hits the top cover. I tried just fitting it in the red switch hole, but the top resistor rests against the top cover.

Thanks thanks for the tip.
