TV antenna?

Should someone want to access local TV channels, how best to do so?
i see the Nautilus system has an AUX input.
is that the place for an external antenna for a 2021 320?
i doubt we’ll be anywhere with cable.

Get an external antenna, and use coax cable from the antenna to the cable input on the tab, and then set the tv input source to tv or cable?

@abdyboy, we use exactly this set-up. Powered antenna mounted on an extendable painters pole. Cable from antenna plugs into the tv cable port on the t@b and power source plugs into the back of the television. I am going to suggest you do a search on "tv antenna" and check out @Dalehelman's permanent HD antenna mount on the t@b. It is also an excellent alternative. To use the search function, click on the search button in the upper right of your screen and type in a few key words for anything you may have a question about. Good luck.

I’m more of a plug and play person.

Looking for an easy way. Saw the inputs on the Nautilus and took a chance.

I use an unpowered antenna mounted on a piece of electrical conduit, and I have 50 ft of Coax. I also bring a 2 foot piece of rebar. Then I can position the pole away from trees with a clear site line. Pound the rebar into the ground about half way, slide the pole over the rebar, then string the cable. Scan for on -air channels. No matter what antenna you use, you will have to scan for channels at every new location. If you have cable, you will have to scan for cable channels at every new location.

Once in camp, we attach a pair of rabbit ears (using Velcro) and run the cable to the outside Aux input. Cost is less than $10 and takes about two minutes to setup.

I just I attach about 15’ of coax to my Mohu Leaf flat antenna, and toss it on the roof. It works.

@andyboy...ours is a flat antenna with a built in stand...we have also out in on the roof...if it's windy we carry a portable table that it can sit on...

Is it an indoor antenna, you're using outdoors? Actually, would it even work inside?

Ours is an indoor antenna, haven't tried it inside though. For me it is easier to screw it in to the jack on the outside than fiddle behind the television. Plus I'd probably poke my eye out if our antenna was inside.

Ours is labeled for indoor use...but use it outside..before going to bed we disconnect...but we also don't use it every night...

We purchased a omni-directional from Amazon last year and used a paint pole to get it above the trailer. Also, use the paint pole to display our flags. I checked Amazon and it says it is not currently available, but Wal-Mart has them.

We have a mohu leaf antenna, i hooked it up to the Cable connection in the nautilus compartment, but it didn't find any channels...what should it be connected to...the Aux?

@TxNew23ers, on the TV menu you need to connect it to antenna, as cable refers to RV Park supplied cable TV channels. If you can get the Mohu Leaf high, like on your roof (yes, I’m serious), you will get more channels.

Menu pick should be air or antenna, then scan.

On the 320 there is a coax connector on the drivers side you screw the cable into.

Not sure about other models.

I found this suction cup bracket on eBay for $10. The Mohu Leaf antenna seems to be very directional when trying to pull in weak signals, so be sure to experiment. I might try duct tape if the tywraps don't work out.

Thanks to your sage advice, Verna this is what we've been doing for months. Works just fine. It's about as technical as I get.
