Can anyone recommend a campground near Lake George, NY ?

There is a triathlon race in Lake George in September, and we are trying to find a place to camp. My partner is competing. The state park is full for that date already. Any suggestions, or should I just try to find one that looks nice?

Try Pharaoh Lake Wilderness -- very nice campground at Putnam Ponds. One of my favorites. I've tent-camped here twice, and look forward to returning with my T@B in August, I just hope I get my new T@B before then.
