How do you reattach shade anchors?

Of course, you just screw it back in. Except, I’ve done that. But I’m finding that replacing it with a larger or longer screw can only get you so far (too long of a screw punctures the outer shell). The soft wood of the frame isn’t helpful as it’s terribly easy to bump it out again. 

How do others keep their anchors in place given that the screens get ripped out. 

This is my front window which holds the luggage. My 2008 CS T@B doesn’t have much storage space for stuff. I’ve searched the forums but haven’t found similar issues.
