‘Furnace’ option in 2021 Tab400

New owner here. I’ve used the heat pump successfully for both heat and cooling. I don’t understand what the ‘Furnace‘ selection does in the Dometic....and how it works.

Any input appreciated

It is just an all purpose thermostat. The furnace section of the thermostat is inactive. Many trailers pair a CoolCat with a furnace. nuCamp has gone with the Alde instead for heat and hot water.
