What year does Alde have resetting fuse?

gulfarea · November 2020

I have a 2019 320, wondering if I should carry spare thermal fuse or do I have the resetting one, thanks Art

? ? ? ?
Adle model 3010 has two slow blow fuses one each on +12VDC and Ground at Alde

Adle model 3020 has one slow blow fuse on the +12VDC at Adle.

Ground fuse on 3010 was the fuse most frequently failing.
Model 3020 have very few reports of fuse failures . . . I still carry a spare.

Have not heard of any Adle with a 'resetting' fuse.

@MuttonChops, the thermal 'fuse' is a special component soldered into the circuit board, designed to burn out if the circuit board gets too warm.

I was "lucky" enough to find it when our Alde wouldn't start even after checking the two 'hidden' fuses.

@gulfarea Art, I don't know if they've added that to the Alde. I've only heard folks chatting about replacing theirs with a resettable type.

Someone might know better than I do, though.

Thanks for the info! Somehow I thought Alde was installing the reset type in later years but that may not be the case. Art

Possibly the Europe TaBs have the Alde with the resettable thermal fuse?

Sharon, That might be where I heard about it, thanks. Art
