Sanitizing water lines

We will hopefully be de winterizing our T@B in a couple of weeks while in FLA. We won't be using the fresh water tank but will need to sanitize our water lines.
We have read the manuals, but I am curious as to how much bleach you recommend to flush our lines.
I do not plan on using the water for personal consumption, rather bathing and dishes.

Since you do not plan on drinking out of the system, you do not have to sanitize it, though I think it is still good practice to do so to avoid problems later down the road.
You will want to use ¼ cup of bleach for every 15 gallons of water.

Thank you. I read where another poster sanitized with vinegar. Anyone do that?Judy and Mike - Central KY 2014 T@B S M@X towed with Chevy Trailblazer Nights in the T@B: 32

My first thought was to scoff. Then I looked at the many uses for vinegar. Google uses for vinegar!

Vinegar is my sanitizer. It is cheap, safe to use and does a super job. Put some in the laundry with clothes that have smokey, musty odors, voila. I was unsure about sanitizing water lines. It is not an unsafe product and the odor does not last long.Judy and Mike - Central KY 2014 T@B S M@X towed with Chevy Trailblazer Nights in the T@B: 32

I used bleach - poured it in the side using a funnel.

You can buy a longer transmission funnel at most parts stores and probably Walmart that would work perfectly. The longer neck would allow you to pour in your vinegar and not spill a drop.Patti said:How do you get the vinegar into the water tank? I tried pouring through the intake on the side of the T@B and most spilled down the side.

I use this funnel, cut a two-foot long piece of garden hose (or you can buy tubing at most hardware stores), then slid the end of the funnel into the hose. Push until it gets tight. Since the hose is flexible, it allows you to push it further into the fill opening, eliminating most of the spill. You can buy a longer transmission funnel at most parts stores and probably Walmart that would work perfectly.
