Black water transfer tank with pictures

While browsing Walmart today I found my solution to transferring black water tank waste to dump site. All of the tanks made for this purpose are way to large for our 6gal tank. This tank is only 8gal. Has wheels folding handle and wide mouth opening. By attaching a 45 degree sewer hose connection I can dump directly into transfer tank. The extra 2gal capacity will prevent over fill. For my needs this thing is perfect. It's size and light weight will make storage much easier.

    I like the idea; however, I'm having trouble visualizing how you can fill the unit when it is on its side.  It would have to be on its side, correct? It is to tall for the waste gate opening, correct?  The connections do not appear to be leak proof, do you have a plan to deal with that?

    I like the idea a lot.  If it works I could see myself picking one up.  Please keep us informed.

    I use one of these for fresh water and love it!! Easily roll 40 lbs of water from the faucet then use a battery powered shower pump to refill my T@B. Easy peasy. $35 at wally world. 
    Just need to be careful if I ever camp near you, Dale!! Could be quite a problem if we mix up our hydrollers. Hahahahahahha. I mean... ewwwwwwwwwww

    This is just an example of how things line up. You do not want It air tight air needs to be able escape. A short length of sewer hose will extend into tank. The tank will lie bottom side up during transfer and slightly below discharge valve. I will be attaching a 3" piece of hose to the cap to be used for discharge down the drain.

    Dale, once you've finished draining the blackwater into your transfer tank, how do you pull the tank off the drain pipe and stand it up without spilling? Or is there enough spare room in the tank to not overflow while lying upside down?

    If my black water tank was completely full that allows 2gal of space to spare. I will probably not wait till the BW tank was full. 
    Simply close discharge valve stand tank on end and secure cap. As any time when you are dealing with waste tanks care and planing will help eliminate mishaps.

    But isn't your hose filthy afterwards?  You can't pull your grey afterwards into the same container, I assume?

    There is no hose. I can flush tank with shower hose through toilet.
