Storage box for Portable Grill

We purchased a portable grill for our travels, but couldn't find an appropriate plastic bin for traveling in the truck, so built one. This will keep grease from getting all over the back of the truck. 1"x6"x8' common board, piece of 2' x 2' 1/2" common plywood, some utility handles, some PVC sheeting we had leftover from another project, and coated with clear poly. We cut the plywood some to custom fit the grill and keep the propane hose connected. Then cut the 1x6 board to make the box sides. We used a brad nailer and glue to assemble, and used a router to round all the edges. We can set this in the back of the truck for easy access.

Nice. For extra protection you could use a contractor gauge lawn bag to cover it, or one of those big blue Ikea bags.

We do have a shell on the truck, so not worried about the grill getting wet or anything, just didn't want to set the grill by itself in the back of the truck, where things could drip out the bottom.

I was thinking you had it on the back seat of a truck, thats why I suggested the covers for extra grease protection. Sounds like you're all set.
