Window Shade string came off

Our kitchen window string came off again on our window and the shade is a mess.  I think we don’t have these shades ‘tuned’ properly because the shades are often hard to open or close and the see through black shade often bunches at the top when we close our shades for the night. 
Any suggestions for how to properly get these shades adjusted?

    I feel your pain. Based on experience with my 2016, there are no “adjustments” to the window screens. Unless you’re the wardrobe designer for Lady Gaga, better to let your dealer treat this as a warranty item. As an aside, I had to remove the “fuze” along the side rails because it was causing way too many problems with screen movement.

    What are those strings even for? Maybe we don't even need them. I'm getting a lot of random binding in the shade and screen. Almost couldn't close them.

    The black and white strings cross each other in the track and may be the binding point.

    The strings actually keep the screen closed against the frame and aid in movement. Without the string, the left and right sides would not be aligned.  Went through this "Teaching Moment" with my defective screen door.
