Protecting Upholstery in 2021 320

I managed to spill some juice from a jar of green olives on one of our seat cushions. Not good. It was the end of a trip and we found an upholstery shop that fixed it perfectly. It raised a couple of questions. How do 2021 owners protect that light grey upholstery from spills? Is there a treatment to protect everything? What do you use to clean up spots? Your ideas would be appreciated.

I sprayed my upholstery with some scotch guard, nothing fancy - the $6 can version. At ucamp last week, I spilled some guacamole on a cushion and/but it cleaned up really well. (shrugs) I’ll reapply scotch guard maybe every season to help.
Interested to learn what others have done! It is a challenge for sure, the light grey color is so nice. -
Thanks for the tip, gofever!Jim and Robin / 2021 320S / 2015 Jeep Cherokee Trailhawk / Oregon
