Bike rack suggestions for 2021 T@B 320s BD

Hi All,
I would like to bring my bicycle with me camping. My trailer has come without the Yakima rack due to lack of supply. My TV is a Kia Sorento V6 AWD with 5000 lb towing capacity. I have been considering the Jack It style bike rack, but would like to know if there are other options out there? Also would like to know if others with the Yakima rack have attached bicycles (in case mine eventually arrives!). Thanks.

Until your Yakima arrives, why not a simple hatch mounted rack? Works great on my Cherokee and doesn't add weight to the hitch2017 T@B 320S 2019 Jeep Cherokee - Southern Connecticut

Look into the Jack It and Bump It. I have one installed on my 2019 320 Boondock. I looked quite a bit before I settled on it. The reason I like this is the top (Bike Wing) is removable and can be switched to the Bump It and used on the tow vehicle when the trailer is dropped. I traveled across country with it from PA to Utah and back.@cmcelhose Photos too large and deleted. Please resize your photos. Moderator

Thanks, I did not know about the Bump It.

@annieoranges: I have the BD rack and bought the Yakima bike mount accessory(ies). Works great, but be fore warned you will need to add weight to the tongue to counter balance the added tail weight.TV- '16 Chevy Colorado LT Crew Cab-DuraMax

Thanks 4ncar - I found out this week from the dealer that the BD rack is not available, so I asked for a credit. I ended up with a hatch rack for my TV.

No need to buy a rack! We strap our mountain bikes on the tow hitch frame in the front, next to the propane locker (this is on a 2017 TAB Outback). The bikes face forward. It really works and we just got back from 4 months of camping on the Baja with our bikes like this.

We need to carry 3 bikes on our rig. I've seen some cool ideas here but none for 3 bikes so far. In the past we have used a bike rack that mounts to an extended draw bar and the bikes hang on it on the back of our Sienna. This makes the back hatch unusable. I have been wanting to see if I can find an A frame mount that has a hitch receiver above the utility box, but our box is a replacement diamond plate style and the only frame mount hitch receivers I have seen won't fit around our box. To be able to use the hatch it seems like mounting the bikes above the utility box is the best way, unless I want to mount a bike rack to the tail of the Tab, which I haqve seen done, but I'm not so keen on this idea.

How about a hatch rack for your Sorento? Light, inexpensive, simple 2017 T@B 320S 2019 Jeep Cherokee - Southern Connecticut -
I have the Saris Bones that can fit pretty much any car and works very well. It was purchased because we had two cars, and the Bones is easy to adapt from one car to another. The drawback is that it makes access via the hatch (or trunk) difficult, which is why I broke down and got a the Rack-It for use when towing our 320 BD.webers3 said:
