What A Sap!
I arrived home from my trip at around 9:00 PM, so I decided to unhitch my T@B in the yard for the night as I wanted to clean it up and unload before backing it under the shed. Big mistake. It was parked under an oak tree in the spring, so tree sap and pollen unloaded on my pretty white paint. This stuff is almost impossible to get off because the paint on the T@B is not clear coated like on a vehicle, so it soaks in pretty good. I finally was able to get it off with a citrus cleaner meant for removing shop grease. So, some advice: Don't park your trailer under a tree in the spring when it is going through the leafing/pollenating process. Also, if you do get this gunk on your trailer, clean it off before the sun has a chance to bake it in. It would probably help if you keep a good coat of wax on your trailer to protect from this staining.

This is good advice Larry and also a good place to list products that others have found to remove sap and other sticky cousins of it.

Definitely don't park it under a Tulip Poplar Tree in June to August in Indiana. I was able to get it all off of a small "standy" that my sister and I owned three years ago. Plus, my Escape was very new, so it got cleaned up first!Verna, Columbus, IN

Verna, do you remember what you used to remove the tree deposit ?Verna said:Definitely don't park it under a Tulip Poplar Tree in June to August in Indiana. Sure do. Camco RV cleaner with wax (I think that's the name of it). It's the same thing I recommended to you for washing your T@B. I used a spray on wax for the more stubborn spots. One important thing is to remove ASAP, before it gets a chance to really solidify.Verna, Columbus, IN

Great .... that's my product of choice

Try Goo-Gone too as that is citrus based and is an amazing product with many uses. I use it to remove silicone caulk and it works like a dream.
