Bathroom Fan replacement

We received a replacement fan for our broken bathroom fan .  It has two wires , 1 black, 1 white. We hooked up black to black & white to white , doesn’t work & now the main fan isn’t working either?! No fuses are blown. Anyone have an idea?

    If it were me I would take the wires back off and confirm you have power on those black and white wires, and confirm polarity ( which wire is 12V positive side). Likely no power there but now something on the circuit that was working is now not. That takes you back to converter to check voltage on the circuit output. Is any 12V circuit working? It sounds like there is no power from converter. And pull the fuse and double check. Then call on one of the forum electrical gurus but it is usually something simple

    It was a fuse that blew on the main fan, replaced it, so it works now. Bathroom fan still not working. I’ll check with electrical gurus. Thanks !

    We received this replacement fan for our broken fan. We hooked up black to back wires & white to white but it won’t work? There’s a fuse in the fan, we checked it and it’s good. This is an upgrade from the fan we had, it didn’t have a thermostat on it or a fuse, does that matter ? Are we missing something?

    The gurus are going to want to know if there is power flowing to the wires you connected, and which wire is 12V positive of those two. The colors are not always standard on the trailers. So do you have a meter to check that with? If there is power to the new fan and no fuse issue then perhaps the thermostat is not allowing current to flow so you could check that and turn it all the way up or down. And other than that it would not be impossible that a new unit might not work right out of the box, but that would take some diagnosing. All you can make sure of is the power and the fuse and the thermostat and the on switch. Which by the way happened to us once as the up/down flow on switch has a middle position and the fan will not turn on when that rocker is in the middle. Can't tell from your picture which position the switch in upper R is placed so you could also check that. Good luck and hope its something simple
