Can I use a curling iron while boondocking?

Depends. If it’s 110v (household plug), you’ll need to know the wattage and have an inverter big enough to handle that wattage.
Cheaper option if you aren’t already set up with an inverter: buy a butane cartridge-fueled travel curling iron. Or a rechargeable one.
