I appreciated your comments about the RAV4 Adventure as a tow vehicle. I am heading to the smokey mountains with my RAV4 Adventure and Tab 320s....du thing I shld be ok in the Smokey’s with all of that elevation?
I can’t say, really, as I don’t have a RAV4 Adventure...everything I know about them is basically stats on paper, no real world experience, and I don’t know the elevations you’re driving. It’s probably OK. But every make and model tows a bit differently, and adequate limits on one may feel wholly inadequate when climbing mountains with another. Realistically, a vehicle with 3500 lb tow capacity *should* be good enough, but as many members here would tell you, any time you choose to tow with a minimum limit tow vehicle, you could end up in a situation where you don’t have a comfortable amount of power for what you want to do. I’ve seen people here swap their 3500 lb tow vehicles for 5000 lb ones, I’ve also seen them swap vehicles for a different make with identical limits and get better towing experiences. Your best bet is to post your concerns as an actual thread, asking for RAV4 Adventure owners to respond.
Looking forward to meeting you there. I posted the Quattro video on the [email protected] Campers FB if you wanted to see it in action. Could figure out how to upload a video here. Hope you have a nice cool breeze today and a shady spot to sit.
Thankfully, I have two portable ACs that mostly cover the part of the house I spend time in. Hate the power bills from times like this, and central AC would still be better, but I’ll manage OK. Stay cool! 😊
