Television Reception for Local TV

Did not find topics on the subject (or must have missed).  I tried (at home driveway) the Television to scan the channels and found nothing.

Not sure if the outside little antena is for Radio only.  Do you folks puchase additonal antena (best brand?) to watch local HD channels?  Is there a specific connetion or plug?
