Aerator Will Not Attach to Faucet

I went to install a swivel aerator, like most of you have done, on my 2016 S Max, but when I went to attach it, I found that the aerator had the same male threads as the faucet end. I looked up more aerators on line and they all seem to have the male threads.
Did the factory forget to add something to the faucet during the build? Thanks!

Bob, check to see if the aerator has an insert inside the threads for a different type of faucet. It should be removable. Take it out and you have the perfect attachment.Verna, Columbus, IN

I bought my first one at Menards. But it was male to male with no adapter. So I took it back and got one from walmart. About $9.

I got one from WalMart, works just fine. The threads are standard.

I put an aerator on our faucet, I think I got it from Wal-Mart, it threaded right on so yes, they are standard threads and it is the swivel type. The HobbiT@B, 2015-L, towed by a2014 RAM C/V

If so, do you remember the brand name?.
Are the threads on the T@B facet standard threads?.Yes. The one from walmart fit fine. But is was the white version. I believe the threads are standard. You just have make sure you match M to F. I was kinda surprised that the one from Menards did not come with an adapter.
