Is anyone else having issues with the shelves falling down while traveling?
Also is anyone having trouble keeping the fridge door to stay fully closed and sealed while traveling?
Suggestions?

any help with this? not sure how to keep the shelves from falling.

Mine didn't fall unless I had too much weight on them while driving, like a gallon of water. They do want to slip forward though, so I smooshed some museum/earthquake putty on the ends of the shelves against the side of the refrigerator and they've stayed put. I also use RV tension rods to keep stuff in place. Some people have used those rods under the shelves for support.Debbie in Oregon

thanks. I'll try the tension rods for support. The shelves in ours are really weak and flexible. Doesn't take much for them to fall. Very easy to bend them.

Ours are a pain as well. Right now I use frigerator 'boxes' to hold items, and they hold the shelf up, but it's not a solution. Any ideas?

On our '23 Tab 400 the shelves fell, broke and were a pain in the butt. I ordered new replacement shelves and lo and behold the replacement shelves are beefier than the original ones._____________________________________________________

I have had the same problem with the shelves in our Tab 400 Isotherm, so I decided to try some closet wire shelving, and it appears it will work and definitely beefier than the original (talk about flimsy).
Since I don't have a welder, I am adding a lip to the shelves using 3/4" high aluminum angle stock. Then will paint it.

We had the same problem with collapsing shelves in our 2024 400 BD. I bought window screen clips and short brass screws at a hardware store to lock the shelf side rails into their grooves. The back sections of the rails seem firmly in place and don't need the fix.jes0673 said:Is anyone else having issues with the shelves falling down while traveling?

We also had the issue of the door popping open while traveling when the two position latch plate was set to the non-venting position, i.e., supposedly keeping the door firmly rather than partially latched. I drilled through the top right of the door frame and we insert a pin from the top, down into the optional hinge hole in the top of the door. There is solid metal on the underside of the door frame with a top optional hinge hole, handy to drill up through. Oddly, the door remains closed while traveling if the latch plate is set to the venting position but the downside is that then the door is not fully sealed.
