Portable Gas Grill for 2025 T@B 400

Hello All! Shopping Amazon Prime Day for a small portable gas grill that can utilize the LP quick connect at the rear of my T@B 400. The grill my husband and I used when we had a 45' coach is far too big for my little trailer. Mixed reviews on small Weber, Coleman, and Cuisinart grills has me spinning. Any advice from seasoned T@B owners using their quick connect for a portable gas grill? THANKS!

I did find a search came up with this discussion, but most replies are quite old: https://tab-rv.vanillacommunity.com/discussion/comment/206655#Comment_206655
If you have any new opinions to offer, I'd certainly appreciate them! -
we had the cheap Cuisinart one. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00F3BHB80 It worked ok, was small and easily portable, but I had to wrap it in tinfoil if there was any kind of a breeze due to the many vents in the base.Just upgraded to a 22 inch blackstone grill.

@HedCount Thanks so much for the advice. Is this the Blackstone you purchased? https://tinyurl.com/y8nk8b2d or the original?

@GatorEgg Thanks. Is your Weber the Q1200, by chance? That's one I'm seriously considering

I think it’s the Q1000. Same thing without the side shelves. We swapped half the grilling grate with a solid frying type grate. Veggies go there, steaks on bars. Or eggs go there bacon/steaks go on bar side.Chele said:@GatorEgg Thanks. Is your Weber the Q1200, by chance? That's one I'm seriously considering
Btw, to use Weber on trailer propane port, grill valve must be modified.2022 TAB 400 Boondock, 2019 Toyota Tacoma Sport 4x4

The quick connect is for a "Low Pressure" camp stove. Most camp stoves need a high pressure supply. Even bypassing the stoves regulator won't make it work properly. Anything that works directly off a little green bottle most likely won't work properly (like Coleman). If you try to use a high pressure stove it either won't light, won't get hot enough, or could easily blow out in the wind (dangerous). Blackstone makes low pressure grills and Camp Chief has a low pressure camp stove. A standard camp stove (high pressure) should be connected directly to the propane tank before the T@B's regulator, not the quick connect. They make Y connections to do this.2021 T@B 320 S Boondock

We gave up bbq’ng simply because of the cleanup and smell. We found a planchard - a ribbed flat cooking surface with a handle about 10” square. The ribs allow drippings and fat to accumulate below the meat. It works very well and washes easily as it is non stick. We use a Coleman bbq as the heat source. This fits into a Woods zippered heavy bag for storage. Fuel is the disposable 1 lb propane canisters.400 - 2019

I have a Weber BabyQ at home. This is too big and heavy for light weight camping. In my opinion, the smallest grill to get the job done is the way to go. Not for size and weight, but for clean up. So I have been using a Coleman Fold-N-Go for years now. It is small and since there is less there, there is less to clean.Mike and Priscilla, White Salmon, WA

We use a CampChef Ranger II cooktop. The regulator can be removed and connected to low pressure systems so we are able to use it with our Tab 400's quick connect. Technically not a grill, but it is a great cooktop for outdoor use. I have a small portable hibachi style charcoal grill that works great for steaks and burgers._____________________________________________________

Love the Weber Baby Q, but the kids bought me a 17" Blackstone Griddle last year...and I find I use that more than anything else. It's a little bulky, but super easy to use, versatile and easy to clean. I'll admit, I haven't connected it to the quick disconnect on the T@B yet.

Thanks for all the input, everyone. You've given me so many options and the reasons you each prefer your setup - super helpful! Time for me to get some hands-on looks at your suggestions.
