? On Tab 400 front window film

Hello all--I purchased a new to me 2017-2018 Tab 400. Previous owner broke the front window & included the new window- NOT installed in the sale.
There is a large piece of what appears to be some kind of film that covers @90% of the new window. Is it a protective film that can be removed? It is really really adhered to the window like a sticker.
If it is supposed to be removed -- how to get it started? GooGone? Heat on low blow dryer? ( This is what I used to get other bumper stickers off)
Thanks for any info.

My take on this is that the window was maybe purchased a while ago and over time the protective coating has adhered itself onto the window. Similar to the first time I was painting something on my first house and left the protection tape on for months. It was a real bugger to remove. You might contact a shop which deals with plastics and ask which solvents they would recommend to help remove it. Good luck.

I’ve had a lot of luck removing bumper stickers and window tint with a hand held clothes steamer. The combination of heat and moisture worked so I could peel them right off. No excess heat or solvents to worry about. Might be worth a try.2021 320S BD

Problem solved— Im posting this so anyone with same issues will know. I contacted Nucamp & Creed asked his shop manager/foreman who using a blow dryer on LOW heat. It worked great. Had to put the heat on one corner & work it around for about 5 minutes until I could get a tiny little bit of the corner up with my fingernail until it was a large enough piece to start peeling back. I pulled very very slowly while keeping the heat in front of the section I was pulling on. I got the entire sheet of film off in one piece with no residue.
Also had luck with a very very stuck bumper sticker on the back window with blow dryer & goo gone to get off the residue followed by alcohol to clean up the goo gone.2018 Tab 400
