Alde "freight train" sound at low altitudes?

I understand that my Alde 3020 (2022 Tab 320CS) has a high altitude mode. But should the Alde heating system be making the loud roaring "freight train" sound at just 4100 feet?
Between the roaring sound, fan failures and general dysfunction I am really disappointed in the Alde. Something has got to be wrong with this thing.

I believe you should be in high elevation mode at 4k feet. I live at about 4200 and need to have mine on in order to avoid the freight train.

I think that the Alde manual says that over 3,000 feet merits setting to high altitude mode.Susan & Bill, Yarmouth, Maine

Oh wow, I see! I thought the altitude needed to be much higher. Thank you!
