Alde heater

Hi all, I replaced the Alde heater in my 2020 tab 400 because the shop claimed it had a leak and it could not be parted out to fix. I asked for the old one back in the hope that someone talented might like it and prove they are fixable! Let me Know and I’ll ship it to you in the USA. Currently in Minnesota.

    Because of the hard water we have in Arizona, my Alde developed a leak at the weld where the metal cold water inlet attached to the Alde boiler.  The corrosion was so bad, the weld broke.  Could not be repaired per nuCamp and had to be replaced.  Reading the manual, it states to open the yellow flipper on the drain valve after each campout to empty the boiler.  I do this religiously and also added a portable water softener to the city water inlet as an added precaution to keep the corrosion down.  As a word of caution, you need to literally destroy the entire aluminum case that covers the Alde to get at that spot on the boiler.  At least that was my experience.
