Lithium Battery Stops at 90%

2023 T@B Boondock just stopped charging when 90% reached. 13.62 volts. Won't go to 100%. I am on shore power. So the inverter is charging. Haven't checked the solar panels charging system as I am currently in the shade.
Shore power is good at 120 volts. And I hooked up my Honda eu3200i and it seems good too.
Any clues?

What exact battery or batteries do you have? The "charged voltage" in your settings may not match what the specific battery requires for the "charged voltage".Look over this Battleborn page that describes how to set up a Victron solar controller with specific values that will swap out whatever Victron has chosen for the default "SmartLithium". Just use your specific battery values for the Battleborn values here for the "Expert mode".Same thing here for the Shunt.(PS: you may already have the Battleborns in the trailer, of course.)

All of the Solar controller voltage numbers are showing a charged battery, or at least a battery with power coming in. It is the shunt that is only showing the "90 percent" number.You should separate out the two different charging setups. Have a look at the Shunt history and see if it shows any "Synchronizations" Find out if the solar is giving you a higher "percentage of charge" and a synchronization.If the shore power is not getting the battery to a full charge, it may be the setup on the Multiplus needs to be looked at, but I am far from being good at Multiplus settings.Plenty of owners here are, however, and they would be able to help.

Looking at it now, I see that the Battery voltage was good.
It was the 90% charged that threw me off. I had not seen that before. -
I guess my question now is how does the system calculate the % charged?
and how do I know it's accurate? -
My understanding is that it calculates SOC by measuring the current going in and out of the battery (net consumption) and subtracting that from what you've set as the battery capacity. When the battery is initially connected to the SmartShunt, the default SmartShunt setting assumes that the battery is fully charged and synchronizes to 100%. We've seen lots of inaccurate SOC readings because the battery wasn't fully charged when connected to the shunt.MarineFriend said:I guess my question now is how does the system calculate the % charged?

@MarineFriend: Your MPPT charging voltage is set lower than BattleBorn recommends:We recommend a bulk and absorption voltage of 14.4 V. A float is unnecessary since lithium-ion batteries do not leak charge, but a floating voltage under 13.6 V is fine.Try raising the absorption setting to 14.4v.

I have never had my LiFePo4 batteries fully charged when connected to the shunt and have never had any problems with correct calculations. If everything is set up correctly when installing the shunt, it will adjust and show correct settings.Marceline said:
