Is anyone towing a TAB with the new gen of the Toyota Landcruiser?  Love to hear general comments and more specifically how you’ve been able to use the TV generator.

    I don't own a new LC so this is merely from the peanut gallery: 
    The big hangup (according the LC overland groups) is that the inverter only works with the engine running. So you could use it for short term use, e.g. a coffee maker or a hair dryer but charging the trailer battery in a pinch would require hours of running the engine. It would be nice if the inverter could run off the hybrid battery until it gets to e.g. 20%. Granted that's only 30 minutes at full load but it could run much longer with a couple 100 Watts of load.

    Yes I have read this.  But thanks for confirming it.  I put in a lithium package last year and have run batteries down only once on a day it got suddenly super hot and I hadn’t turned down the fridge. So not really worried about charging. I do want it for running coffee maker and microwave when I’m without shore power.  Have this fantasy of using the key fob to start the LC and making coffee inside.  While I rarely use my ac I’d like to know if the LC can power it.
