What is the difference between Dometic Furnace and Heat Pump Modes

I understand what is supposed be be a furnace and what is supposed to be a heat pump. But last night, while on shore power, when I tried the furnace, it was 42 outside, and didn’t feel any heat. The heat pump, however, worked great. When do you set it to Furnace?

The "Furnace" option on the dometic panel is not used in a NuCamp 400 . Its just an extra setting incorporated into the dometic panel that most other rv's will use , but does nothing in a NuCamp with the Alde heat system . The heat pump setting will run the cool cat heating .
The dometic panel basically runs just the cool cat , and the alde panel runs the heat and hot water system .
Guess its not technically just a "cool" cat in a nucamp , its also a warm cat as well . lol
Just no furnace option built into it .2023 Ford F150 Sport 3.5 Ecoboost
