Hooking up solar panels through 7 pin trailer connection

Has anyone used this adapter to connect your trailer batteries with solar panels?

I made my own and it works fine. I plug it into the suitcase solar panel controller which provides a convenient place to plug in the Starlink mini. The power wiring between the 7 pin connector and the battery is 10 AWG. 2023 400.

It will work as an easy, less efficient alternative to buying a panel without an onboard controller and adding a solar port so that you can mount the controller close to the battery.

This sort of thing was brought up in the Forums back in 2018, with the "Anyone Carry a Spare Battery" thread.  I still have mine that I can use with my portable solar panel.  With the proper adapters, you can plug a "spare" battery into the 7 pin and power the trailer if you wanted.   (With the trailer battery switch off).  I still have mine and use it from time to time.  The threads and comments below show the original idea.

Made one as well. Don't use it much as I put an SAE port where the old battery box vent is on the 2018 400. Worked fine, just a bit clunky.
