Improving the Isotherm refrigerator

So after much research and having heard of this before I finally found it again.

What I am sharing is an upgrade kit for the Isotherm Cruise 130. Instead of a mechanical thermostat a Electronic one with digital accuracy and power saving mode.

Here is the company that is selling it. It currently is on backorder and I am the first to get it when it comes in. FYI- did warn the company that if it works as it states there will be many that want to upgrade to a digital one. Not having to open the fridge to see the temp will preserve battery life and give you piece of mind. www.fisheriessupply.com

The price was 229.12 with tax.

If this works it will help with the boon docking that I wish to do once I solve the issues with the batter management .

My 2025 Tab 400 black canyon boondock is currently at the dealership with either a refrigerator or solar issue or both. I managed to run the battery power down to less then 10.3 volts over the course of 2 days with full 400 amp hour batteries and full sunshine over those 2 days and no shade- blue sky and lots of sun.

Nice. I'm currently using an indoor-outdoor thermometer with the outdoor sensor inside the fridge. Added a power switch outside the fridge so I don't have to touch the thermostat and reset it when I turn the fridge on and off.

@SLJ that would work and if you are always close by don't forget to turn it back on works- down and dirty. I would love to say I have perfect memory but I don't and unfortunately I would probably forget to turn it back on.😂 Hence something more automatic. I purchased digital refrigerator thermostats thru amazon. That will work till I have time to install the digital thermostat .😉

We just turn it off when we're back from camping and turn it back on for the next trip. Really no forgetting.

This one helps while you're camping. I just found out yesterday that the Isotherm refrigerator I am using is purely DC. So having the above switch would regulate better while camping and give me the true temp in compartment without opening the refrigerator . Yours works because it is super simple.

When you say "Back from camping- does that mean your home? When you leave again that means you're on the road to a new destination ? I have a switch for my inverter and for the power in the trailer. I was not aware until yesterday that I did not need the inverter on when I was soley running the refrigerator .😥

I am very forgetful and admit to this. I need something that is fire and forget. Hell sometimes I can't remember where I put my keys!!!!😂

When we're home the camper is plugged in inside the garage. If we're not using the fridge we just turn it off until it's time load it up to go again.

@SLJ I would love to have a garage that I could put my trailer in !!! That would be fantastic ! I have to store it on a lot. I will now cover it while in storage.
