HDMI playback issues on 2023 T@B 320 with USB-C source

Now that I have iPhones and iPads that support USB-C, I've been trying to use an Anker USB-C to HDMI adapter to stream phone/tablet content to the my Jensen JTV1921dc TV and JWM22 radio.

I've used the adaptor, HDMI cable, and iPhone 16 Pro on an old Samsung TV and it works. When I try the same combination either on the JWM22 HDMI port or the Jensen TV port, I end up with no input detected.

I've plugged a FireTV Stick into the JWM22 HDMI port, changed to the appropriate input on the TV, and it's works fine (using my iPhone as a Hotspot).

I was hoping to be able to download content to my phone or tablet for playback when camping, but the input stream isn't recognized using the same configuration that's working with an old Samsung.

It's not iOS mirroring, it's just sending the screen source as HDMI input. Both the phone and tablet produce the documented formats Jensen docs indicate it requires.

Anyone run into this problem and solved it?

TIA

I know it's possible since I've done it by connecting my phone to the TV. Here is the cable I use https://www.amazon.com/dp/B087213LB3 I think the adapter may be causing you problems even though it works in other situations. However, I haven't been able to get the HDMI input on the stereo to work (I'm sure it's just me and not the equipment) so I bluetooth to the stereo when I want to stream music or listen to a podcast. I have since switched over to using a Roku for streaming on the TV connected by either iphone hotspot or starlink mini.

Thanks! This worked like a charm! Worked right out of the box for both a direct HDMI hookup to the TV and through the radio for better audio.
