Break controller for 320 Lite

Hi, I am not only new to my 320 Lite, but to trailers in general so I have a beginner question. I am pulling a 320 Lite with a Subaru Crosstrek Wilderness (3500 lb tow capacity) and bought a CURT Bluetooth break controller. I think it worked okay the first time we used it, but ever since, it applies way too much breaking even on the lowest settings. We have done every type of reset possible and have had Curt helping us out. They can't seem to figure it out and the local RV dealer said that controller is meant for trailers over 3000lbs.

My question is has anyone had luck with this break controller with such a light trailer or what type of break controller should we try?

Hi @Blubie, I am also towing with a Crosstrek Wilderness. I have a 2021 320 s Boondock, and also a 2021 Tag XL Boondock; one is probably a little heavier than yours, and the other is lighter. I've used the Curt Echo with both trailers, and have had good results on both (***searches frantically for wood to knock on😁). I just finished a trip with the 320 where I had the max output at 40 and sensitivity at 3 for most of the time, with some minor tweaks depending on conditions. With the Tag I think I keep the max output at 30ish, but it still works fine with the even lighter trailer.

we also use the Echo towing our tab 320. The only issue we had was with the recent new app. We got a message saying that there was not enough power going to the Echo. We deleted the profile and the app, reinstalled and signed in again. Problem solved. I think we have our settings all in the middle.
