Rear Under Bed Storage Hatches

We use our T@B in twin bed mode. We got rid of the cushions and installed 5” Mattress Insider “split mattresses” a long time ago. Very comfortable. The mattresses have a seam right where the back ratcheting hinges bend when you raise the back up so it doesn’t bunch up. I split the back support into 2 independently movable sections. Works great. The problem is accessing the storage underneath. Have to raise the back and reach around it to access the storage. Have some downtime so installed hatches in the back platforms. Now just have to lift up back third of mattress to access the hatch to access storage underneath. Much easier.
