Alde mixing valve installed in 320S

I had the Alde mixing valve with red cap installed in my 320S by an independent RV tech. When, in process of de-winterizing, I turned on the hot water tap in kitchen sink to fill the hot water tank, nothing happened, it didn't sputter for a period of time when the tank would be filling, etc. No water coming out. I think water is getting to the mixing valve but not exiting the valve to go to the tank. I conclude this because the line going into the valve is slightly cool to the touch and, on the other side it is not cool. I am wondering if the tech who installed the valve did something wrong in the process and, if so, what?

Other owners that have had issues when dealers/techs replace the older LK550 TMV with the current standard Alde Branded TMV.

The Two TMV look alike but are different; cold water in and mixed hot water out are on different locations of the " T " shaped TMV.

This thread/discussion has a dialog of the failure mode and the final solution (correcting connections). The 'This Is the Problem' was posted on June 1st.

@jalars8 we had the same issue. Once we discovered, with a lot of help on this forum(as you can read on the thread Muttonchops posted), that the valve was incorrectly installed, we took it to an official Truma service center. Just to be safe I left the diagram Truma emailed me with the correct way to connect it. I can report that the problem was solved.

Take a picture of the valve, and let us see the whole setup. You would be quite surprised at how many mixing valves or general items in the trailer that have been installed backwards or screwed up in some way.

@jalars8 it’s definitely wrong. You’ll see that there is a C and H on each side of the valve, on the brass, indicating cold and hot water lines. Here are the before and after photos on mine

What changes need to be made to solve my problem? Back on the previous thread referenced by Muttonchops, Grumpy said the solution (to the defective installation being discussed then) was to switch the connection on the bottom with the connection on the right. Would that apply to my situation? Or was the mistake made by the installer in that case different from the mistake made by my guy? Have to admit I have some confusion. I appreciate the the experience and knowledge of those of you who've given input and the fact you take the time to help.

@jalars8 you have 3 wrong lines out of three. They need to be corrected by a technician or someone that knows what they’re doing. Look at my second picture, or Muttonchops picture.

those 2 lines should be switched but you also have a blue line coming out of the Alde, to the left of your picture, that is blue and should be red. So the three connections need to be swapped. Red H to the left, blue C to the right, red to the bottom. I would call the guy that installed this, show him the pictures here and ask him to correct it. Alternatively, find an official Truma technician and have him swap them if you don’t want to deal with the first guy.

The fittings are easy to disconnect and reconnect into the proper spots. These are "press fittings" (John Guest fittings). When you press them into the fitting, and let go, the fittings will come completely out of the connections on the valve. This photo shows what I mean.
