I still have stock AGMs but they appear to be running out of juice. I am interested in the Vatrer 300Ahr which is one of hte batteries recommended by Will Prose a few months back. The battery width is listed as 7.64", just a smidge or so wider than the width that people have commented on for the battery compartment for my 400. My camper is not close, so I'm wondering wow easy/difficult is it to move the wall forward 1/2" or so towards the storage compartment? Is it just a matter of backing out some pocket screws, fitting the wall in the new location, redrilling and screwing in place?

    I did this exact modification.

I had to build a new battery box to fit the Vatrer battery which extended into the storage cubby. I also plugged both of the vent holes and removed the PVC pipe which vented to the outside. Lastly, you will need to upgrade the circuit breaker in the storage cubby as the charger will push up to 55amps when charging the new battery. Also, confirm that you have the "LiPO" switch on your inverter and change the charging profile on the solar controller.

@paulgbernard Thx. If you have a battery box similar to my 2022 400, can you explain how the box is fitted/installed in that compartment?
