Setting electric kw to zero

Recently saw you can set the kw use to 0 instead of 1/2kw and it will lock out the Alde heating system from kicking on during summer use. Has anyone done this and how did it work?

You have the 3030, obviously. I'm not sure if the setting you are looking at is the "Energy Setting" or not. That is not really any different than the previous control screens: there is "Off", and 1KW and 2KW settings on all the Alde models.

So, tell me if I'm missing something?

I'm old-school; use manual modes over automatic when possible.

So part of my Adle shut-down procedure has always been; Gas Off, Electric to 0kW.

On the next power-up cycle (usage):

    • Adle generally starts the circulation pump running right away, but is moving cold fluid.
    • Then I use the energy source controls to select what I want. I don't like the computer deciding what to do based on connected services or the priority settings.
