Clamshell sleeping

So my wife and I didn't like the sleeping arrangements in our clamshell our heads and feet touched when sleeping side by side not to mention having to use the restroom and climbing over each other. So I devised a simple solution that gives us plenty of headroom and foot room. On the door side I added two fir strips to the end cabinet that act as rails and cut a 3/4 inch piece of plywood to fit in between the rails. I then bought from Target two 29x26x6 seat cushions to place over the plywood and one over the air conditioner in my 2010 clamshell. We now have two 6+ foot sleeping side to our bed and it is wonderful. Our little doggies fit in-between us and we have uninterrupted evenings! Try it you will be amazed.
