Odor in 2013 T@B when using norcold 3 way and attwood hydroflame on propane

- We have a 2013 Q Max equipped with the attwood heater, coolcat and the norcold 3 way fridge. we recently used the fridge on propane for the first time and this weekend used the attwood heater first time also. We noticed an odor in the cabin somewhat like the odor when using a gas heater in the home first time of the season. Not so much like a propane smell but like burning off rust smell. Will this go away after some additional use. Both the heater and fridge worked well just the smell. We keep the top vent open for fresh air when we camp so we have fresh air. Any ideas? Thanks
- We purchased this T@B new in 2014 so it was not used prior to our use.

According to these folks there shouldn't be an odor coming from your furnace. Check out this link as it has some good information and you might want to have someone check your furnace out.

Thanks Mike and Sandra. This was our first trip to use the attwood heater, been using the Cool cat when a little warmth was needed. Same way with the Norcold fridge. Usually are powering with shore power. Wanted to check everything out to make sure it was working. Had started the heater once while at home and ran enough for it to cycle a couple times. Will check the unit. Have the screen covers over the exhauct on both heater and fridge already. Also installed the update fan assy for the fridge from LG. Appreciate all you do for the forums. Our 2013 Q developed a gas leak inside this summer. We could smell gas (faint but detectable) and turned the propane off at the tank. The dealer found a loose connection inside and repaired it for us. The propane "sniffer" did not go off.Ray and Vida Barrick

Our new Norcold fridge has the same odor you describe. We haven't used it enough on gas to see if it goes away. I plan to call Norcold sometime. Also, run it on gas for several hours before the warranty expires.2018 Outback S, Silver/Black - 2015 Silver Honda Pilot 4WD - Florence, KY
