Being new to the rally world, and camping in general, would someone fill me in on what goes on at a potluck? Does it matter what you bring? Do people usually compare notes or just bring whatever they feel like? Does everyone bring their own service, drinks, etc.? Sounds like fun.

Bring whatever you like, it will get eaten.

Last year I brought a dutch oven tuna casserole, which I managed to burn. No matter, some loved the burn part and cleaned out the oven for me so they could get it.

Larry, some people cook/bake, some people shop and bring store bought goodies. What do YOU want when you eat? If you want a salad, bring a salad. If you want meat, cook/bake/cook in foil/Dutch Oven and make what you want.

I cook for one, so I'm not always sure others will like my cooking. I've tried a couple of recipes for the Hoosier Tearjerkers and they actually liked them! I'll cook one of them for the potluck.

I took gumbo. Not much left over, so I guess it was OK. Lots of really good food.

Thanks for the picture. He enjoyed the rally and all the attention, but was happier when we got home so he could roam around the fields chasing deer and rabbits.

Mike, add some mashed potatoes to that and your talking some real eating! It's a meal I don't see out as much here in the Ozarks. Maybe we'll make it to one of these in the future.

You're in a spot where you can make it to the rally Bill and should join us next year. I'd be up to tasting and trying out some of that razorback home cooking! =P~ ^:)^
